A landmark in Floral Park, Stella’s is celebrating its 44th anniversary. Established in 1960 by Mama and Papa Cerrone, with their four daughters and one son, Stella’s began as a small pizzeria and within a few years grew into a successful and popular restaurant. The family is still together, and all of them work in “their kitchen”. They take great pride and care in everything they prepare and serve. Their customers have been loyal to the family and often comment that the food, always delicious, keeps getting better.

The decor is lovely and includes original oil paintings, wood beamed ceilings, rich dark wood work, flowered fabric and lace curtains. Tiffany style lamps, comfortable banquettes and beautiful floral arrangements, all make for a very cozy and relaxed atmosphere. A long bar is at the entrance and leads you to a display of homemade desserts. There are two rooms to either side, both lively.

Of course the best part of Stella’s is their cuisine - “old world style” - real home cooked Italian food coupled with contemporary themes. Start your meal with home baked pizza bread, then on to creative and original homemade pastas, great lasagna and incredible specials like Rib Veal Chop Capriciosa, a butterflied breaded and baked veal chop, and Osso Bucco, braised veal shank in a reddish brown sauce with homemade gnocchi or tagliatelle. Scrumptious homemade desserts include St. Honore, a chocolate and vanilla mousse cake, and creamy tiramisu. Their wine list offers California and Italian selections at reasonable prices.

You will receive a very warm welcome in this classic Italian restaurant with “old world” charm and fine “home cooked” food.
